Delivery Protocol | Covid-19 Crisis

Dear Consignee, 

as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are committed to activating as many precautionary measures as possible in order to reduce its spread. All the measures outlined below concern our Delivery Protocol; hence, we would like to ask politely for your full cooperation and compliance so that we can protect your and our staff´s health. 

In summary:  

  • No delivery shall be carried out indoors (houses, shared spaces, offices, companies, public services etc.). All deliveries will be strictly performed in the exterior space of every building. We recommend you keep a 2 - meter distance from the delivery driver during the transaction. In the case where we cannot ensure your full cooperation for all the above, the delivery will not be carried out and the consignment shall be returned to our premises until further notice.   
  • In the case of a Cash on Delivery request, we urge you to prefer the option of electronical payment. All our drivers are supplied with Mobile POS devices. The same applies in the case of a transaction involving any kind of payment for delivery fees (shipper of consignee charge). If that is not possible, we recommend that you bear the exact amount of cash required in order to avoid contaminated bills or coins.   
  • All our drivers are obliged to wear a mask and protective gloves. If you witness  that our driver is not complying to the necessary precautionary measures, stated in this message, you are kindly requested to inform us by phone at +30 2117101466 or by email at  
  • In case you have contracted Covid-19 or you have reasonable suspicions that you may have, please contact us by phone at +30 2117101466 or by email at in order for us to arrange a special and safe way of delivering your consignment to you as soon as possible.  

Finally, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by this special and necessary protocol, since our main goal is to reduce the spread of Covid-19, protect our staff and provide a seamless service to everyone who is self-isolated and in need of our support.

Shipment tracking

The only info you need in order to find a shipment is the Tracking Number printed on the upper central part of the Waybill.

How to properly package

The shipper is in charge and responsible for the safe and resistant packaging of items (see general terms).

To protect the content of your shipment:

    • Make sure the packaging you use ensures its integrity
    • Wrap fragile items with protective materials (air bubbles, styrofoam)
    • Protect sharp items
    • Use the factory package in the case that you wish to send electronic apparatuses
    • Use unbreakable containers or special wooden packaging should you want to send liquids, in order to avoid leakage
    • Use packaging tapes to seal your shipment
    • Protect small items using paper
  • Wrap CDs and DVDs with a protective material or pack them in their case
  • Lastly, use capital and clear letters to write the recipient's address and all information required.
Items not allowed for transportation

In brief, the items not allowed for transportation are:

  • Explosives
  • Flammable materials
  • Radioactive materials
  • Corrosive substances 
  • Gases 
  • Narcotics 
  • Poisons 
  • Antiquities 
  • Pieces of art 
  • Perishable foodstuffs 
  • Live animals or animal carcasses
  • Plants

In general, it is prohibited to transport items which run the risk, due to their nature or because of their packaging, of being self-destroyed or of destroying other items or items whose handling and transportation is not accepted by ΙATA.


To avoid delivery for transportation of such items, the company reserves the right-being also bound to-check the object it undertakes to handle, and even open it.

If the shipper, for whatever reason, submits such items for shipment, the company on verification of their existence reserves the right to handle the case according to its judgment, including immediate discontinuation of transportation, renouncing any further responsibility; charges are not refunded.

The shipper is always solely responsible for any damage possibly affecting persons or other items from a false content declaration.

How to calculate shipment costs

To use the application which calculates costs click here. The calculation tool calculates the cost of Same-day Delivery throughout Attica, deliveries for the following business day and cost for deliveries throughout Greece and abroad.

What is volumetric charge

The charge of every shipment depends on the combination of size and weight (IATA volumetric calculation). If the volumetric weight of your shipment is bigger than the actual weight of it then the charge of a shipment is based on the volumetric weight. For example big sized packages which are actually very light. 

ΙΑΤΑ volumetric weight is calculated by this formula:

Volumetric weight in kgs = (Length x Width x Height) in cm / 5000.

Remote Regions

Βiz Courier covers geographically all regions in Greece, even in the most remote places.

Areas NOT within Biz network city bounds are characterized as remote. Charging for shipment to these areas is performed in accordance with Biz official tariff list in effect and delivery requires from 1 to 4 working days maximum.

The charge for remote regions starts from 6.90€ for shipments up to 2 kg and every extra kg is charged at 2.80€.

International Deliveries

Biz Global Express and Biz 10 Plus services incur fuel surcharge that changes every month.

There is a VAT surcharge of 24% for worldwide deliveries.

The delivery time for worldwide shipments is indicative and refers mainly to the destination country's Capital and major cities.

Shipments Abroad - Fuel Surcharge

Fuel Surcharge is the average monthly price of fuel for aviation use

according to the

US Gulf Coast

External Link / New Window (USGC), as published by the US Department of Energy.The fuel surcharge varies monthly.

  • For the services Biz Worldwide Express the Fuel Surcharge is equal to 20.75%
  • For the services Biz Global Express & Biz 10 Plus the Fuel Surcharge is equal to 18.50%
Useful Information
General Terms of Transfer

For the transfer of parcels and documents through the delivery and processing system of BIZ COURIER, the sender agrees with the terms and conditions (T&Cs) that are laid out on this form.

No representative, agent or employee of BIZ COURIER has the right to modify or lift these terms and conditions (T&Cs).


  • ARTICLE 1: The ACCOMPANYING STATEMENT OF TRANSPORT (ASOT) is non – negotiable, it is filled and completed by the sender or BIZ COURIER on behalf of the sender. The sender accepts that he is the owner or a representative of the owner and responsible of the goods transported and described on the ASOT. The sender also accepts the terms of transportation through the delivery and processing system of 'BIZ COURIER'.
  • ARTICLE 2: 'BIZ COURIER' has the right but not the obligation (according to the restrictions of the COMMUNICATIONS PRIVACY SAFEGUARD OF GREECE) to check the content of the parcel or envelope which it undertakes for transportation. According to this statement 'BIZ COURIER' does not undertake for transportation the following items: MONEY, EXCHANGE, GOLD, PRECIOUS METALS AND STONES, ANCIENT OBJECTS, ART, LOTTERYS, BONDS, PERISHABLE FOODS, PERSONAL CORRESPONDENCE and items in general whose movement is not allowed by the applicable law and the international contracts. BIZ COURIER does not undertake items that are not properly packaged and items who s sender does not want to declare sufficient information or information of the recipient requested by 'BIZ COURIER'.
  • ARTICLE 3: 'BIZ COURIER' makes every possible effort and takes any necessary action to target the fast delivery, according to its mode. In no event though should BIZ COURIER be held responsible for the late receipt and deliveries, for loss, damage, direct or consequential loss or loss of profit in the case of unforeseen causes and events, such as: 1) contingency events beyond the human potential (accidents regardless of liability, adverse weather conditions, slow means of transport, strikes, war, partial or general mobilization etc. 2) incorrect instructions given by the sender ,the recipient or any third person who has interest in the specific delivery 3) dangerous contents that could cause deterioration or destruction of the delivery. Also 'BIZ COURIER' can't be held responsible for any loss, damage, direct or consequential loss or loss of profit when the sender has not declared the type, the nature and value of the postal item, has not specified these details on the ACCOMPANYING STATEMENT OF TRANSPORT (ASOT) and when the sender has not issued the statutory tax information and any other supporting documents.
  • ARTICLE 4: The sender guarantees that: 1) every item that is listed on their order is prescribed correctly and according to the law, 2) every item they send with 'BIZ COURIER' provides all necessary address and other details, 3) every postal item is correctly packaged to secure its safe transportation, 4) they will pay for any extra expense coming from the procession, the return and storing of his postal items.
  • ARTICLE 5: 'BIZ COURIER' is entitled to retain or not deliver any item undertaken in order to secure payment on costs incurred by the transport (fares, waybills etc.)
  • ARTICLE 6: 'BIZ COURIER' undertakes deliveries charged to the recipient also, in the case of refusal of remuneration for any reason, the costs are borne by sender.
  • ARTICLE 7: BIZ COURIER also undertakes payments, payment collections and deliveries for third parties through e mail and phone order. In these cases the principal has the same rights and obligations as the sender described on the ACCOMPANYING STATEMENT OF TRANSPORT (ASOT).
  • ARTICLE 8: Insurance coverage of the postal items is an obligation of the sender, especially when the items are valued over than 101€, in any different case of loss or damage caused by 'BIZ COURIER', responsibility is defined within the limits set by the HELLENIC COMMITTEE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND POST. Coverage of larger values and insurance from 'BIZ COURIER' further than the amount above, (except from cases described on article 3 above) requests relevant special requirements and expenditure borne by the sender. Otherwise the sender assumes himself the full responsibility, for all dangers of loss, damage or loss of profit.
  • ARTICLE 9: The requirement for compensation of any postal item lost or destroyed, must be submitted in writing to 'BIZ COURIER', within 6 months from date of dispatch (according to ministerial decision 29030/2000 of the Parliament of Greeks).
  • ARTICLE 10: For every assignment proceeded through 'BIZ COURIER' as objects, it is required that they are accompanied by the necessary legal documents.
  • ARTICLE 11: Anything that is not provided by the GENERAL TRANSPORT TERMS OF BIZ COURIER, should be adjusted according to the applicable on the specific contract, provisions. To solve any dispute Athens Courts are responsible.

Same Day

The transportation/Conveyance/Shipping of envelopes and parcels within ATTICA is done every weekday from 9.00am to 19.00pm. This service can be performed by BIZcourier for you by simply contacting our Customer Service department.

Biz Standard

The transportation/Conveyance/Shipping of envelopes and parcels is done in 1 or 2 working days. * Please be aware: this does not include inaccessible areas. 

For further information about Next Day service, please fill in the form.

*Inaccessible areas are the areas which have been designated to be outside BIZ Courier’s network. Shipping to the aforementioned areas are not economically viable to the customer, due to their mileage and inaccessibility.

Biz Logistics

This is a vertical service created entirely to serve customers with online stores (eshops). This service includes the short-term storage – packaging –delivery – and online management of the product. With this service deliveries can be made all around the world by our specialized associates in each country.

Biz Worldwide Express

Air export and import of envelopes and parcels all over the world. 

The delivery time requires 1 - 2 business days.

Cash on delivery is an available option. 


Biz EU Economy

Road transport of parcels up to 70 kilos from / to Europe, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein. 

The delivery requires 2 - 4 business days.

If a parcel weights for tha 70 kilos, then it will has to be separated to two items or more and the shipment will be dispatched via the service Biz EU Economy Multi. 

Cash on delivery is an available option. 

Biz EU Economy Multi

Road transport of shipments, which are consisted of two or more items, from / to Europe, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein. 

The delivery requires 2 - 4 business days.

Cash on delivery is an available option. 

Biz Expedited

Shipping of parcels more than 1 kilo out of EU.

The delivery requires 2 - 6 business days. 

Biz Net Express

Express delivery of envelopes and parcels to Cyprus, Albania and Bulgaria,

The delivery requires 1 - 2 business days,

Cash on delivery is an available option. 

Biz Europe Low Priority

The service of the dispatch of envelopes and parcels throughout Europe.

This service has an estimated delivery time of within 5 to 7 working days dependent on the country the dispatch/shipment is being delivered to.

Biz 10 plus

Shipping of parcels over 10 kilos via plane and road transfer.

The delivery requires 5 - 8 business days.

Biz Balkan Combo

Shipping of envelopes and parcels to Bulgaria, Romania, Albania and Kosovo.

The delivery requires 2 - 3 business days.
